Working with our local community...

Zipline Creative is proudly based in the former industrial area known as the South Wales Valleys, as an organisation and as individuals we commit ourselves to do our bit for the regeneration of our local community. Based in an EU Objective One funding area, classed as having high unemployment and economic deprivation. We feel that education and training are the best ways of escaping deprivation and our long term commitment is to discover and nurture local creative talent.

The best contribution Zipline can make to sustainable development within our community is to carry out its business in a responsible way. This means engaging with the community we have based ourselves within, by making ourselves visible and accessible to those who can benefit from our presence.

Responsibility

One aspect of our company responsibility is to connect with the communities we work in, so that we channel our presence into a positive societal contribution. Zipline is committed to supporting various communities through sponsored programs, and partnerships. We have a clear set of values that we integrate into our business practices at every level. We have accordingly chosen to support organizations and projects which reflect these values.

Sharing Skills

We also see the potential for using multimedia technology as a platform for providing access to knowledge and therefore enabling richer and more fulfilling learning experiences. The growth of online distribution for video over the web has exploded in the last ten years; as such this democratization of film production and practice means it is accessible to anyone with the talent and drive to excel. By producing, shooting and editing in our area, we hope it both inspires and enables those wishing to choose a role in film to see it as a realistic prospect.

Our Aims

  • Training courses to teach young people the skills needed to work in the media industry.
  • Community projects in collaboration with local government.
  • Active recruitment from the immediate local workforce.

If you are involved in any community projects and think we can help you, please get in touch.
